Reclaiming Balance: Peri-menopause and Beyond

Author: Rebecca Anderson

Learn how to help your body navigate menopause

At her first period a girl meets her wisdom. Through her menstruating years, she practices her wisdom, and at menopause, she becomes her wisdom. – Native American Saying

Often seen as a problem to fix, menopause is in fact a powerful transition and one that deserves understanding, support and respect. But until recently, it was rarely discussed or researched, despite affecting 50% of the world’s population.

Now, as more women share their experiences and well-known voices like Naomi Watts and Oprah Winfrey bring the conversation to the forefront of the media, research in this space is starting to grow. While the internet and social media have made information more accessible than ever, the constant stream of content can also feel confusing and overwhelming.

And that is why I’ve developed this 4-week program. To help you move through menopause feeling informed, empowered and deeply connected to your body.

The program blends ancient Ayurvedic wisdom and yogic philosophy with modern understanding, and offers you practical tools that you can begin using immediately to help you feel like you again.

Over four immersive sessions (2 hours per week), we’ll explore what is happening in your body, how to support yourself naturally, and how to restore balance physically, emotionally and energetically.

This is not about “surviving” menopause.
It’s about stepping into your next chapter feeling steady, nourished and confident.

So if you are noticing any of the changes below, this program could be just what you need:

  • An extended period of time not feeling like yourself
  • Can’t get to sleep, stay asleep or have poor sleep quality
  • Brain fog
  • Patchy periods or no periods
  • Emotionally all over the place
  • Hot flashes
  • Weight gain
  • Water retention
  • Aches and pains where you never had them before
  • Bladder issues (ie incontinence, UTI’s).

The Program covers:

Week 1: Know Your Nature
Discover your Ayurvedic body type and how it shapes your experience of menopause.
Week 2: Nourish & Restore
Foods & herbs to soothe and stabilise your system.
Week 3: Lifestyle & Daily Rhythms
Creating stability in a time of change.
Week 4: Stress Management & Emotional Balance
Calming the nervous system.

If there were medals for navigating chronic stress, Rebecca would undoubtedly take home the gold.

Rebecca’s work is shaped by both professional training and lived experience. A mother of six and former full-time event manager, she understands firsthand the impact of stress, life transitions, and the demands of modern life. Having moved more than 20 times, navigated divorce, and overcome nodular melanoma, her experiences have deepened her commitment to finding calm, wellbeing, and personal healing in every day.

Through it all, Yoga has been her anchor with a practice that extends for more than 30 years, and it was her realisation of Yoga and it’s gifts that drove her decision to complete yoga teacher training in 2020 and later undergo extensive training to become a Yoga Therapist. She is also a certified Bowen Therapist and Reiki practitioner.

In 2025 when she was diagnosed with Graves’ disease, Rebecca turned to the practices she knew, Yoga and Ayurveda, alongside Western medical care, to return to health and it was this recent health scare that inspired her to further study add Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant to her qualifications.

Rebecca is herself three years post menopause and it has been her daily integration of Yoga and Ayurveda that has helped with both her health and the transition to this stage of life. She now shares these modalities with her clients to support them to reconnect with their innate capacity for healing, cultivating greater balance, energy, and ease in everyday life.
