Personalised, natural care for perimenopause, menopause and women’s health in Camden, NSW.

You Deserve to Feel Like Yourself Again

Perimenopause and menopause are not illnesses but they can feel overwhelming. Hot flushes that disrupt your sleep, a mind that won’t stop racing, energy that’s disappeared, a body that feels unfamiliar. If you’re somewhere in the middle of this transition and wondering when you’ll feel like yourself again, you’re in the right place.

At Serene Wellbeing Therapies in Camden, I offer natural, personalised support for women at every stage of hormonal change from the first period through to post-menopause, menstrual and fertility health concerns at any age. Using Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy and Bowen Therapy, we work with your whole body and lifestyle to help you find genuine relief and renewed energy.

What Does the Research Say

The evidence for yoga therapy and Ayurveda in women’s hormonal health is growing, with a number of well-designed studies supporting their use as effective complementary approaches.

Yoga Therapy for Women’s Health
Research published and cited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) includes two particularly relevant findings:

– A meta-analysis (Kim, 2019) concluded that yoga is an effective intervention for relieving menstrual pain in primary dysmenorrhea
– A randomised controlled trial (Ghaffarilaleh et al., 2019) found that yoga significantly improved sleep quality and reduced depression in women with premenstrual syndrome (PMS)

For menopause specifically, yoga’s capacity to regulate the nervous system and reduce cortisol is directly relevant, hormonal fluctuations during perimenopause place the stress response under sustained pressure, and yoga addresses this through pranayama (breathing exercises), movement and mindfulness. Multiple reviews have found yoga reduces hot flush frequency and severity, improves sleep and supports emotional regulation during the menopausal transition.

The Australasian Menopause Society recognises lifestyle-based interventions including yoga and mindfulness, as first-line approaches for managing menopausal symptoms, particularly for women who prefer not to use or cannot use menopausal hormone therapy (MHT).

Ayurveda & Women’s Health
A 2024 literature review published in Cureus (Patibandla et al.) examined Ayurvedic interventions across the full spectrum of female reproductive health, finding evidence for their effectiveness in supporting menstrual irregularities, perimenopausal symptoms and the menopausal transition through lifestyle modification and dietary guidance.

Important note: Rebecca’s Ayurvedic Consultations focus on lifestyle and dietary guidance, not herbal prescribing. All care complements your existing medical treatment. Please always consult your GP or specialist.

What Our Clients Say

“My husband and I struggled with fertility for many years, we had even discussed IVF with our doctor and I started seeing a fertility specialist.
After seeing no results at the “specialist” I decided to stop going.

Within 6 months of seeing Rebecca on a monthly basis, we fell pregnant naturally, it was a complete surprise as we had given up on having another child.

We cannot thank Rebecca enough.
She has changed not only my life, but my entire family’s life.

Thank you Rebecca!”
