My journey to becoming a Bowen Therapist began unexpectedly when my husband fell from our roof. Our neighbour, a skilled Bowen therapist, provided treatment that significantly alleviated his pain.
Years later, I developed a persistent frozen shoulder. Remembering my husband’s positive experience, I sought out a Bowen therapist. The treatment led to a remarkable improvement in my condition, allowing me to experience firsthand the benefits of this technique.
Inspired by these personal healing experiences, I pursued formal training and obtained my Bowen Therapy certification in 2018. This achievement rekindled my passion for helping others improve their well-being—a goal I had envisioned since leaving high school.
In 2019, I expanded my expertise by becoming a yoga teacher, building upon over 30 years of personal practice. I discovered that combining yoga and Bowen Therapy was particularly effective in addressing my frozen shoulder, highlighting the complementary nature of these modalities.
Since 2018 I have been providing Bowen therapy treatments and with over 30 years as a yoga practitioner, I knew the benefits that yoga offered. This knowledge and own healing experience, inspired my decision to become a yoga therapist, a journey that started in 2020 with my teaching qualification and finished in 2024 with my graduate certificate in yoga therapy.
